Bell House, Inc
Bell House provides programs and residential services to physically disabled adults, age eighteen or older, whose primary physical disabilities are orthopedic or neurological (cerebral palsy, spina bifida, etc.). We are dedicated to providing quality professional care in an atmosphere where the dignity, development, health and happiness of the residents and program participants are recognized and encouraged. Bell House focuses attention on the capabilities of each resident and program participant and challenges them to expand their ideas, develop interests, pursue their dreams and achieve their most responsive, independent and self-sufficient lifestyle.
Licensed as an Assisted Living Facility, the Bell House residential program provides a homelike environment for disabled adults who require assistance with the activities of daily living (bathing, toileting, eating, etc.). In addition to a residential program, Bell House offers the Advancing Independence program. This program is a voluntary program available to residents of Bell House. It is also available to members of the community who may participate in the program for a nominal fee.
The Advancing Independence program focuses attention on several areas of learning including education, personal finances, health, recreation, transportation, communication, household management and community resources. Morning and afternoon sessions are held on Tuesdays and Thursday.
