About the Guilford Nonprofit Consortium
The Consortium is composed of more than 100 nonprofit organizations and agencies in Guilford County and has a mission to foster mutual assistance and support within the nonprofit community to create a more effective nonprofit sector. The Consortium is guided by the nonprofit community, in partnership and cooperation with the foundation and donor community, and has the following purposes:
- Getting Together: Our purpose is to provide an environment and ways for nonprofits to connect and develop trusting relationships in order to share resources and opportunities; exchange best practices; find partners; barter goods and services; and essentially support each other personally and professionally.
- Educating: Our purpose is to effectively link the skills, knowledge, and services among non-profit organizations to enhance professional development throughout the sector.
- Collaborating: Our purpose is to enhance and build the capacities of all nonprofits through creative, non-competitive collaborations.
- Recognizing, Planning, and Celebrating: Our purpose is to promote the achievements and impact of Non Profits in the community and to promote the role of nonprofits in the ongoing development of a thriving community.
