Girls Incorporated of Guilford County - Program Facilitator
Women needed to work with girls in workshop sessions. Curriculum and activities will be provided, however we are looking for creative people who can deliver programming in an exciting and energetic fashion. The volunteers need to be available one evening from 5:30 to 7:30 or on Saturday from 9:30 to 12:30 pm. Volunteers need to commit to duration of each 8 to 12 week session. North Carolina Zoological Society - Exhibit Interpreters:NC ZOO
Interpreters provide informal programs aimed at inspiring visitors to demonstrate wise use of the Earth and its natural resources. Exhibit areas currently being interpreted are Rocky Coast, Streamside, Sonora Desert and R.J. Reynolds Forest Aviary, Africa Plaza, Australian Walkabout and Chimpanzee Interpreter.

North Carolina Zoological Society - Wildlife Rehab Center: NCZOO
Volunteers provide the routine daily care for injured and orphaned native wildlife until they are ready for release. Volunteers conduct medical tasks such as administering medications, physical therapy, assisting with ex-rays and surgeries, as well as performing treatments as ordered by the veterinary staff. Volunteer duties also include preparation of diets, cleaning cages, admitting patients, feeding animals, answering phones and record keeping. In addition, volunteers may participate in educational programming, cage building and animal rescues. Volunteers may work a flexible schedule and but due to the nature of this position each work shift is a four-hour minimum. Volunteers who will be handling mammals for ANY reason MUST have rabies immunizations.

Senior Resources of Guilford - Meal Deliverer
Purpose: To deliver nutritious noon time meals and offer friendly social contact and wellness check to older homebound adults. Duties: Arrive on time at designated meal pick-up site. Notify day chair coordinator and/or Mobile Meals staff at least 24 hours in advance if you are unable to deliver meals on your assigned day. Report any food discrepancies, delivery problems or any additional services the client may need to Mobile Meals staff in writing on the route sheet or by phone. Follow Senior Resources of Guilford’s Guidelines for delivering Mobile Meals Provide assistance in helping the client open their meal as needed. Understand and follow delivery regulations and emergency guidelines.
