“Ask for what you need – Give what you can”

All members of Guilford Nonprofit Consortium are expected to provide volunteer time to at least one GNC committee each year. Consultant members are additionally asked to provide at least 3 pro bono hours of professional service to the Consortium each year, which may be used by the Consortium or provided to member nonprofit organizations. In order to be more consistent in the use of this service, we have established a pilot system for 2012 as follows.

1. Consortium member nonprofit organizations may choose a consultant from the list below.
2. Member organizations may then contact the Consultant to request pro-bono hours.
3. If the Consultant and nonprofit then agree, the Consultant will perform the agreed upon work..
4. Following the service, the Consultant and nonprofit fill out feedback forms (which the Consultant will provide) and inform the Consortium of the amount of time that the Consultant provided.
5. The Consortium will track the number of hours provided by each Consultant and to each member organization.
6. Each member organization will be limited to a total of 3 pro bono hours per year.
7. Once all available Consultant hours are used during a year, the program will be suspended until the hours are replenished by additional consultant members or a new program is established the following year..
7. At year end, the Consortium's Consultant Pro Bono Committee will analyze usage patterns and feedback from nonprofits and consultants and recommend any needed changes to system.
